A 24 year old woman who suffered an allergic reaction and chemical burns to her scalp after having her hair dyed has been awarded £8,300 compensation.

She had wanted to lighten her hair colour. When she was at the salon she told them she had a history of dermatitis and wanted to use only natural products. She had an initial patch test, but on the day of the actual appointment the stylist did not use natural products.

Woman bitten by dog awarded £2,500 compensation

A jogger who was bitten by a dog has been awarded £2,542 compensation for the pain and trauma it caused.


Need to control your dogs

The woman who was 33 years old at the time of the incident had been jogging when she approached some dogs. The owners of the animals did not have them on leads. When the woman started getting nearer to the dogs they followed her and started to surround her.

She was nervous but tried to carry on running through the pack but one of them jumped at her and bit her on the thigh.

Families of girls killed in train crash awarded compensation

The families of two teenage girls who died after being hit by a train have been awarded over £40,000 compensation.

They made their claims, as secondary victims, against the firm that was responsible for the maintenance of the railway crossing.

The girls were at the station intending to board a train. The layout of the station meant that to get to their platform they needed to cross a railway track through an unsecured wicket gate.
